Premier Club is the National Club Development Programme of the English Table Tennis Association.
The English Table Tennis Association is committed through PremierClub to create a strong club structure in England.
The greatest asset to Table Tennis in England is its motivated and committed volunteers, administrators, officials and coaches who organise the sport at all levels throughout the country. We recognise that to achieve the Club Mark standard will be a challenge for these volunteers and the clubs they run. I believe that it will be a worthwhile challenge that will result in higher standards and a brighter future for Table Tennis.
There are currently four levels of Premier Club: Introduction, Participation, Advanced and Excellence. The main difference between these levels is facility size/standard, volunteer workforce and coaching programme.
Premier Club Mark directly aligns with Sport England Club Mark and gives Table Tennis Clubs the best opportunity of achieving this nationally recognised accreditation. Premier Club Mark sits in between Introduction and Participation and will allow a greater number of clubs to receive recognition that they are a club showing high levels of good practice and ongoing development.
Club Mark sets the standard for quality sports clubs. It is an accreditation scheme that stands for child protection and safety, quality coaching, equal opportunities and good management.
Club Mark is the sign of a quality club.
A club awarded Club Mark can be proud of what it has achieved. Parents can be assured that their children belong to a safer club. Members can be sure their club is a well-managed club, striving to offer the best in coaching and sports development.
Club Mark is rapidly becoming the national standard for quality sports clubs. More governing bodies of sport are adopting the scheme and to date more than 2500 clubs have achieved Club Mark.
